Refurbished Tape Drives

We have been selling refurbished tape drives since 1995 and since then we have seen formats come and go, from 1/4” streamers to the latest LTO Drives. However, years of experience has also taught us that people back up needs don’t always change with the technology.

Some users don’t need the latest LTO or SDLT which will offer nearly 1TB of capacity on a tape. They might only need to back up 50-100GB or less so we have recognised the need to stock a wide range of tape drives and refurbished tape drives covering all formats and capacities.

This means that Castle Computers will have a cost effective back up solution to meet your needs. Whether its LTO, 8mm, AIT, DLT, SDLT, LTO, Travans or Streamers we carry the whole range in stock. They are tested and on the shelf ready to go. We can also provide Autoloaders and Libraries for larger requirements as well as our Refurbished Tape Drives.

We supply a number of disaster recovery companies who may need to recover data from an old tape but can not buy a new drive to read it. We have the knowledge and the stock to identify which refurbished tape drive you require.

The majority of our tape drives are refurbished but come with a full warranty and tested to the manufacturers specification. If you do require new products we can help you with these too.
